I don’t care if these books are below my reading level, they’re EPIC. I love the Hero’s Guide book XD

Storming the Castle is the second book in this series. The Hero’s Guide to Saving Your Kingdom is the first, and was just as awesome. These books put a different spin on well-known fairy tales by telling the PRINCE’S side. Or should I say princes’?

These books tell the story of what happened to all the Princes Charming from Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White, and Rapunzel. The princesses always get the spotlight, but it’s about time the real heroes of those stories get their due credit.

Christopher Healy has a wonderful writing voice and he brings to life each of the princes and other characters in a wonderful way. The plot in each of these books is a little deeper and twistier than you would expect from books aimed for this reading level. (Junior-high, ish).

There really isn’t anything I could say AGAINST these books. They are refreshingly clean, yet creative enough that even an older teen like me can enjoy them. I would recommend this series to anyone.

I can’t wait for the third book!

5 Stars.
